The Compassion Project Mentoring Program provides students with a mentor-based leadership program, where they will have an opportunity to understand the meaning of “compassion”. This will be done by connecting them to a volunteer opportunity and having them serve the community; helping them observe and identity a target population at the organization that needs to be shown “compassion”; creatively developing a project to serve the needs of the target population chosen; and delivering out the project created to the target population.
Volunteer mentors and students meet up twice a month, pick a volunteer opportunity, and serve together. Pairs meet up on their own based on a pre-determined volunteer location.
*CCHC is a faith-based organization and requires that all volunteer mentors be a Christian.
*Volunteers must be 17+ to serve.
Because there is a process to getting involved including application, interview, and orientation, you’ll need to request information below to get started. Dates and times reflect when you requested info and are not volunteer dates.
