HFNY volunteers will work with Habitat NYC to rehabilitate vacant, dilapidated homes in the Hollis section of Queens for low-income families. Volunteers will be working on affordable single family homes formerly owned by the New York City Housing Authority and sold to Habitat for $1 each. No construction experience is necessary as the Habitat staff will provide the training necessary.
There will be a Habitat shuttle that drives volunteers to the work site from the E/J train stop to Jamaica Center – Parsons/Archer.
