If you’re a tenant from Queens, join Catholic Migration Services, the Rent Justice Coalition, and other tenants from across the City at the Jamaica Performance Center Auditorium for the Rent Guidelines Board (RGB) Queens Public Hearing on Thursday, June 7th at 5:30 p.m. to stand up and speak out against unethical landlords who profit off of horrible practices making it even harder for New Yorkers to stay in their homes!
This year the Rent Guideline Board disregarded tenants who asked for a rent freeze (0%) on adjustments for 2018-2019. Instead, they will vote on increases higher than the past 3 years!
You have a right to attend and provide a 2-minute testimony to members of the Rent Guidelines Board to protect your rents, homes, and lives for an estimated 1 million rent-stabilized apartments. We encourage you to have your voices heard, hold the Rent Guidelines Board accountable and tell them why we cannot take anymore increases!
